The Dance Shop opened its doors in Fort Worth, Texas in 1949.  Since that time we have been striving to offer the best service and the finest dance wear to our customers at the most reasonable prices. For the past 62 years our customers have come to know us from all parts of the world. We are happy to now include you as one of our customers.

It all began in a frame house on Dexter in Fort Worth near the Cultural District.  The Dance Shop was a well-planned disarray, yet fun for shoppers selecting sequins and spangles out of shipping cartons or digging through bolts of netting, satin and fringe.  That's how it was because that was the way the owner wanted it. Since then the shop has had several owners and locations.  The present owner is considerably more organized as is the shop filled with dance apparel, accessories and one of the largest selection of pointe shoes in the area.  The shop carries major brands from toddlers to plus sizes and offers leotards, tights, tutus, dance dresses and dance apparel for boys and men.  The shop also stocks ballet shoes, tap shoes, jazz shoes, ballroom shoes and lyrical shoes.

The Dance Shop caters to not only the beginner dancer but also the professional dancer. We have a list of requirements for most of the area studios. The Dance Shop is the official supplier for the Texas Ballet Theater Dancers.

We invite you to visit our retail store at 2485 Forest Park Blvd, Fort Worth, Texas 76110.  Due to our overhead expenses, we cannot offer the catalog discount prices in our store, but we do offer student, teacher, student teacher and professional discounts in our retail store. Our hours are 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 AM to 7 PM, Tuesday and Thursday; and 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday.  We are closed on Sunday.
